 Spindle nose dead center

Hello all;

I made this little guy so I can use the spindle taper to hold a dead center while using the face plate at the same time;





The taper on the left fits the 15 degree Taig spindle nose. The taper on the right is the standard for dead centers.




Nothing fancy, but practical for the kind of work I do. It has a draw bar that pulls it into the spindle taper. There is a short construction article with more pics at:
