back again from my illness and doing a little better thank you all for your emails and support. and we will be back at work on this build.

http://www.taig.mlpmotorsports.net/page1.aspx

So here is where we stand. the build worked out good I am running the mill as is, I had to add 2 braces to the backend on the Z tower to keep it from moving.

On my 2nd mill we are going to build a new base & Z tower out of Aluminum size 4.5" X 5.5" X 24" I have 2 of these the base will get cut down the center and will have the .750 X .750 steal ways cut out also We also have 2 .750 X .750 steal ways here for the Y base unit they will mount on my new base just like the Taig mill.

The Z tower is also 24" tall but it will mount to the back of the new base unit and it will have the stand off for the Z tower base unit for the Z axis slide I have New 1/2 X 20 tpi rods that are 36" long and I did get the ends mechined to the Taig spec's all of this is to keep the Mill Rigid and no vibration.

This one will use the X2 head with the R8 setup.

When it is done I will do the same thing for the first Taig mill I have changed over the past months.

Thank you

MLP
