PostSubject: Review of Camtronics Gecko G540 Driver Box   Sun Feb 08, 2009 1:23 pm

I Bought a New CNC Ready Taig Mill in Nov.08, I wanted better performance than the Allegro Based Driver that I had on my 1st mill

After Hearing Good things about the Gecko G540 Driver, I decided to try one,

I don't mess with with Electronics Myself, Know nothing about it and surely would Mess something up if I tried to build one...... What a Face

I decided to Purchase a Plug and Play setup from Dan Mauch of Camtronics

Setup was Straight forward, I installed the XML file for Mach3 that Dan provides with his kits and I was off and Running...

After 4 months of use Now, I am Very Happy with my Purchase, Dan Offers a nice Package that Works Great.....

Though it uses a 24 volt Power Supply, I think he has Matched up Stepper Motors well with it and I am Running 38 IPM Rapids with no Problems at all....I am sure I can go Faster but this is fine for my needs

No more of that Dreaded Humm of Missing Steps that I had with my other Driver.

I Really like how Smooth and Quiet it runs, No Surprises

If you need a Plug and Play setup I say give Dan a Shout,

Sure glad I did....... cheers
