| Ring and Run (UPS) left my vise on the porch. It was taken. Shars is standing behind my claim. I will deal with this company in the future. |

| Man, that's good customer service! I hope they're able to recoup something from UPS as well. Thanks for sharing. Tom |

| It sounded on the phone like they have encountered this before. We are getting more of this type of thing in our neighborhood. What the heck are the thieves going to do with it? The UPS people acted like they have no responsibility. Who is the worst; the thieves or irresponsible shippers? |

| When you have used it and formulated an oppinion, would you give us feedback? Fretsman seems to like his and if your experience is good as well, then that will narrow my search down to this vise. Rick Kernell |

The thieves, of course. If the shipper, (Shars), or the buyer, (you know who..) didn't request a signature delivery, the carrier can't be responsible for anything other than taking it to the delivery address. Just like the mail. UPS is paid to take it to your address, unless you request a signature. Then they are paid to put it in your hand.
Hope you get a new one soon! |

| We are watching now as we have some new people in the neighborhood who are out on their porch all the time. Don't want to accuse and so will watch carefully. I too would have wanted to watch them open it. I am going out on trash day to see if it is in the trash. My neighbor had his Bible stolen out of his car with other stuff. We walked down the street and there it was with his mail thrown in the weeds. |

| I get worried about stuff being swiped as I run my business out of my home. Usually I'm home by the time UPS shows up but I have arrived to find a few thousand $ of parts on my door step. some delivery companies like FedEx area PITA to deal with if they miss you the first time on a signature required parcel. It makes me want to install a motion activated security camera and or a drop box that can have things put in it but not retrieved from with out a key (but them how big should it be.) In general I get annoyed because I have to spend my time worry about and paying for the lack of moral fiber of other folks. _________________ Happy Machining!

| That's hilarious ddyke! rkernell, I like my Shars vise quite a bit too. I have absolutely no experience with vises from other companies, but I can't imagine what could be "better" on a more expensive vise. |

| The shipper was the culprit who claimed it was delivered and it was on their truck. I had to fill out a form as did Shars. I walked the area to see if it was pitched. It was just a delivery man being deceptive. |

| I had UPS do that recently to a customer. There were two packages to the shipment and the got one to him and sent the other one to Ten-Buck-Two. When he called with the tracking numbers they told him the other box did not have a label on it and they sent it to a different state. Never mind the fact that it was very easy to use there own system to find that there were two boxes in the shipment and if they new where the box was then it had to have a label on it! Granted we all make mistakes, I screwed up an order yesterday myself. I just try to be upfront about things like that and do my best to set things right. It just seems we should be able to expect the same thing out of UPS. _________________ Happy Machining!
