Nice what are you using for your 4th axis, is that home made or a Sherline?, I like the rings too, so they are for a "lost wax" way to make molds?

Nice work, something to be proud to wear.

What software are you using to program and cut that?

Bryan :
Thank you for your comments....I am using A CNC mill Taig, Rotary table Sherline and device made at home (I send you a picture). This it takes a sockte screw in the internal part.

And the process is lost wax.

In this occasion I use BobCAD V23 and Mach3.

I hope this information is you of utility.

yes thank-you it was the information i was looking for,
i enjoyed your other videos also. Thank-you very much.

so for the mandrel as you turn in the screw it forces the mandrel
parts away from each other then pushing out on the ring from the inside
correct?

Thanks for all your help.

Bryan

LOVE that expanding ring mandrel. That's a pretty piece of work.

Do you do your own casting, or do you send your stuff out? My wife is a jeweler, but she strictly does bench work. I'm utterly jazzed by the idea of doing casting (mostly so we can collaborate on some designs that let me do the waxes on my mill!) but the cost of the casting equipment is... well... prohibitive. I know there are some places that will cast waxes for folks, but I don't have a good feel for how that works. If you don't mind sharing the story of how you go from what you've got on the video to the final product, I'd be interested.
