About a Month ago I bought a A2Z CNC Quick Change Toolpost for my Lathe,

I have not had much time to use it till this weekend and I have to tell you Guys This works Great on a Taig Lathe,

Its Designed like a KDK Holder for a Full Size Lathe, Just on a Smaller Scale

It does take up alittle more Room than the Stock Taig Toolpost but I have not Found this to be a Problem

It Comes with 4 holders, Fully Adjustable For getting Tools on Center...

Most of you guys Probably know this already But this is Really a Must have for your Lathe,

Nice Job Guys..

I can second that comment, I have one, and there is no way that I would go back to the original tool post. This one allows for screw adjustment for the height of the tool, and very quick change of tools. That and a set of carbide cutters make life much better. I will post some pics of my setup tomorrow night.

Adam

I was thinking of using that tool post on my slant bed lathe project, but Phase II has offered one for the project. If I accept the offer I'll compare the two.

Does Phase II have a smaller unit than the 100 series now?

I'm not sure what the size is. I would prefer the A2Z but the budget has been stretched with this project.

Little Machine Shop and others sell this Phase II quick change tool post, which is smaller than the 100 series tool post.

Hopefully, the link works.

Chuck

Thanks for sharing, Chuck, I was not aware of those- Cool

Even though they cost a bit more, the fact that they're actually steel is nice as compared to aluminum.

I have the A2Z quick change post and love it. I esp like the tool height adjustment feature - makes shims a thing of the past.
