I don't care for the Taig factory couplers. Has anyone used the Dumpster cnc couplers? And if so he offers them in threaded or unthreaded versions, which did you use?

The Taig factory couplers are a bit fiddly. A good shaft coupler does not just hook two shafts together it also provides for some misalignment between the motor and lead-screw and acts as a vibration dampener. Solid couplers like the ones at Dumpster don't do either.

I've been playing with new coupler ideas myself and have not comes up with a good solution that does not require machining the lead-screw.
